Russia Is Getting Away With Murder
Russia is committing war crimes in Syria and the United States aren’t even going to talk to them about it.
The U.S. has suspended its participation in bilateral channels with Russia. The White House statement announcing the suspension of talks said Russian had intensified attacks against civilian areas, targeted critical infrastructure such as hospitals and was preventing humanitarian aid from reaching civilians in need.
Secretary of State, John Kerry accused Russia of, “…trying to pursue a military victory over the broken bodies, the bombed-out hospitals, the traumatized children of a long-suffering land”.
On Monday the White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest accused Russia and its Syrian regime allies of trying “to bomb civilian populations into submission.”
There will be no peace without talks but the U.S. has stopped talking and the killing of innocent civilians continues.
My prediction is that these war crimes will continue and no one will ever stand trial for what’s gone on. The reason for this is the same as the reason America stopped talking, they’re scared of Vladimir Putin.
