King Donald

President-elect Donald J. Trump is so far out of his depth it’s not funny. He has no experience in politics and no idea what the job of president involves. So most of the presidential work will end up being done by the vice-president, Mike Pence.

Pence has a lot of experience, he  was elected to the United States Congress in 2000 and has served as the chairman of the House Republican Conference from 2009 to 2011. He’s also the Governor of Indiana.

So if Mike is running the country, where does that leave Donald? Well, he’ll still be the head of state and that’s where he could use the system we have in Britain. Our head of state is the Queen, she’s just a figurehead.

Let’s face it, Donald has a lot in common with our monarch already. He lives in a house where the walls are lined with gold, his wealth and position are a result of an accident of birth and he gives powerful jobs to his own children.

The British Queen doesn’t actually do anything. She just attends lavish banquets, waves a bit and accepts gifts from small children. Trump could probably handle a workload like that.
