Food For Thought

19May16

Superbugs will kill someone every three seconds by 2050. That’s according to a global review, published by Lord Jim O’Neill. The problem is, bugs are becoming resistant to antibiotics.

The reason is that farm animals are being fed antibiotics. Those drugs are ending up in OUR food. We’re now all on antibiotics so superbugs are becoming resistant to them. The problem gets worse, bugs in animals that have already become resistant are being transmitted to us in our food.

The governments of the world have failed to properly regulate the use of antibiotics in farming. The only way to protect yourself from becoming immune to antibiotics is to stop eating meat and all other animal products.
