How an air-conditioning mechanic in Sydney Australia became an award winning broadcaster in Britain; Part 215.

When is a deal not a deal?

At one UK radio station where I worked, after presenting the Breakfast show for about three years, I was told I was being moved to the afternoon Drive program. I still had about a year left on my contract, which clearly stated that the job was, “Breakfast show presenter”. When I reminded the general manager of this, I was told to go and see a lawyer.

It was clear that I was working for someone who was not to be trusted, why did I need to see a lawyer? I wasn’t the one who intended to breach the contract?
