Wind of Change

Is having to look at a windmill the worst thing in the world? Some people think that wind farms in rural areas make the rest of the nature they’re surrounded by look ugly.

Every week, I read another story about people who are opposed to wind turbines. This week it was a farmer who turned down £1m to put some on his land so he could keep Britain “beautiful and unspoilt”. Now it looks like his neighbour has agreed to the installation.

If you think wind turbines spoil Britain does that mean you’d rather have the alternative? You’d rather have coal, oil, gas and nuclear power stations instead, really?

Craic on!
